I’m one of the fortunate ones who do not suffer from spring allergies – but with a household full of five kids and two dogs one can never have too much fresh air, especially during cold and flu season. When I received the Fellowes AeraMax Air Purifier, I loved the fact that I could put it together easily myself in less than five minutes. It’s amazing – it’s very sleek and modern in appearance and doesn’t take up much space. It’s easily portable having two grooves to carry it from room to room. The Fellowes AeraMax Air Purifier has digital controls that can adjust the fan speed with just the touch of a fingertip (no buttons!). Its sensor changes colours as the purifier detects odours and particles in the air and it effectively filters out the ‘bad’ air to replace with the good. It’s so quiet you barely notice when it’s on in any room.
Now I love fragrance as much as the next person – especially if it has light airy notes, is flowery and subtle. My experience with the Fellowes AeraMax Air Purifier was as follows: as I was napping one afternoon, my four year old daughter decided to venture into her teenage sister’s room and grab her ‘One Direction Our Moment Perfume’ – not the cheap stuff mind you – but the real expensive bottle with the fancy lid she got for Christmas. Lo and behold I was awakened to what I can only describe as a full blown “symphony” of perfume which she doused not only all over her body, but all over her sister’s bedsheets, floor, and a basket of clothes.
To all of our dismay, despite removal of the scent-drenched clothing and sheets, the odour still remained in my older daughter’s room. The only solution I could think of to rid the room of the high concentration of perfume immediately was the Fellowes AeraMax Air Purifier! I never had an air purifier before and believe me after this incident I don’t see how I could ever live without it! We put the purifier on ‘high’ overnight for several nights in my daughter’s room and the perfume smell vanished completely. The monitor went from “red” to “yellow-orange” to “blue” once the air was finally clean.
Other instances the Fellowes AeraMax Air Purifier was effective in our home was after nail polish use, heat styling hair with appliances, frying/cooking food, and for doggie odours. Especially with a six month old baby – fresh air means more to us than ever – and not just for dirty diaper odours either! I’m very happy with our Fellowes AeraMax Air Purifier, and would recommend it to keep your household air spaces as clean and fresh as possible.
