Kristen HodgesA corn starch-based, biodegradable and completely non-toxic line of baby products? Yes, please! The idea of feeding my little ones while doing my part to help the planet is an initiative I can get behind. When I received the Giraffe Baby Frog Toddler Dining Set and the G-Bottle,  I was eager to put them to the test to see if these innovative products lived up to the vision.

Infant Feeding -Bottle

I’ve been a long-time fan of the Tommy Tippy bottle design because it seems to be the closest approximation to a breast I’ve been able to find. This sweet little G-Bottle is a similar shape, which I really like. Of course, it feels great to know that the bottle is non-toxic and safe for my baby, but on top of that I’m impressed with the attention to detail that makes my baby’s life and mine easier. For instance, I appreciate the anti-colic valve, as my guy is prone to gas (not unlike every baby who ever lived).  He seemed to take well to the bottle and had no trouble feeding.  I only have positive things to say about this bottle!

Frog Toddler Dining Set

I think the best part about opening this set was my three-year old daughter’s excitement over trying it out. As a side note, I love that they took the time to explain the production of the set on the box in a simple and visually pleasing way. By far, my daughter’s favourite piece is the cup. She loves that it has two handles and is very particular about holding these handles while she drinks. The bowl is great for snacks and she enjoyed having a go with the utensils. The only downside to this set is that the plate is quite small; too small to really do anything with.  Overall though, I really like it.

The true test of a product is whether or not it finds its way into the regular rotation of our go-to’s in the kitchen. With the exception of the pad, these products have. On top of that, I don’t need to worry about my environmental impact or my children’s health. That’s a huge plus!
