Rocky Crest ResortThis past August my family arrived from the UK for a visit and to explore Canada for the first time.
We decided to book two days at Rocky Crest Resort in Muskoka having had friends recommend it.

Knowing it was a family resort I wasn’t sure how it would suit the needs of 5 adults.
That was all put to rest on arrival where we explored the most amazing beautiful landscapes, beaches, and golf courses on the resort.

Lunch on secluded beachWe found a quite beach where there was no one else but us and had a picnic lunch there. The beach also had paddle boats and Kayaks simply tied to the doc for guest use. We loved being on the lake and the fact that we had it all to ourselves!  It could not have been more perfect. The weather was beautiful, the water tranquil, and made for a perfect day.

I met some wonderful families who were as  equally excited to spot Nanny Robina as much as spotting a bear! That was fun I always love to meet my fans.

Girl on BeachThey told me how they loved the resort, one family had been every summer for a week for 3 years running! They all agreed that the kids were never out of the water and slept really well at night because of it!

The suites were spacious and equipped with all the necessary things you would need such as a toaster, fridge, kettle, coffee maker, along with all the dinner ware in a kitchenette.

View from room Rocky CrestWe had two room bedrooms, my bed and pillows were so comfortable – I point this out as this is often a concern I have to anywhere I travel. We also had a sitting room and a sun room that over looked the lush green trees and the lake. The following morning we wondered down to the lake with coffee in hand to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake “before the kids arrived for their water fun!”

Rocky Crest, unless I can make for another weekend in the fall, see you next summer!
