Unlike my partner, Nanny Robina, I am a big fan of massage
and go as often as my busy schedule allows me to, which is not often enough.
First thing I noticed upon arrival at Sheppard Bayview RMT clinic is how friendly and welcoming the receptionist and check in process was. We live in a world all too busy and making people feel welcome is often overlooked in many establishments. I was required to fill out a few basic medial forms prior to my massage and, once they were completed, was shown to my massage room.
I am a big fan of meditation, so right away I noticed the soothing music and calm atmosphere the clinic has offered. I believe that calming music is necessary to put you in the right frame of mind for a massage, but then that is just my opinion.
A few years back my job involved the lifting and moving of heavy pieces of furniture. All that heavy lifting has given me many problems over the years with various muscles. In addition to that, turning 40 and not working out spells a recipe for disaster!
I knew my muscles were tight and, at times, painful, but I learned to live with it. I now realize that I did not have to live with it any longer.
My RMT worked on those muscles and for the first time in a long time I felt a relaxation with my muscles which I don’t remember feeling for quite some time.
The tension was gone, the tightness was gone. It was a great feeling and one I hope you too will get to experience if you have problematic areas. Don’t be like me and come to except it as normal.
My RMT was very attentive, making sure that I was covered and comfortable at all times, asking if the pressure she was using was ok for me. At times, she added more pressure to more problematic areas she found, advising me, as she worked on them, that the more pressure was necessary to unknot the muscles in those areas.
Overall, I was very happy with my massage and how the clinic conducts itself, and would definitely recommend Sheppard and Bayview RMT to anyone looking for not only a massage, but getting problem areas sorted.
